Getting it PUBLISHED!!

Well, here are a few projects I've been busy with for the last couple of months! I love scrapping digitally, and I especially love it when it is all published into a book! I have been in "book mode" lately working on several gift projects and an Airplane Series collection for my husband cataloging his photos from various air shows he has attended. He uses these pics for paint schemes and model kit building. It is nice to have them all organized in one place rather than scattered through several photo albums!

I am able to compile a book and order multiple copies which make wonderful gifts. These books will be for Kaitlyn's birth parents and their families! I got a hold of some GREAT deals and haven't paid full price for any of these. I was able to swap out a few pages so Kaitlyn's birth parents will each have pictures of their time with Kaitlyn during our get together meetings. Even though the covers are identical, the spine and a few pages inside are unique for each family!=) I can't wait to wrap them up and give them for Mother's & Father's Day!

Every year I look forward to a sunny day in the spring to take Kaitlyn for a photo shoot in the daffodils. We missed out last year since the weather NEVER cooperated before the flowers were all cut. I literally take over 100 pics just to get ONE good one!

Another Speed Scrap

I haven't been doing much for challenges or speed scraps lately, so at the last second I decided to go for it and try it. I ended up making dinner, had 4 phone calls and did the dishes, but still ended up with a cute page that doubles for a CT page...not bad! =)

4 years ago today...

WE'RE CELEBRATING!!! It was 4 years ago today that Kaitlyn's birthmom came and asked me if we would like to adopt her baby. She was 5 months along and was a previous high school student of mine. =) Every year on this day Kaitlyn and I do something special which usually involves lunch at the Olive Garden. Today we are double celebrating because we officially turned in all of our paperwork, family profile and sent our fingerprint cards in to be checked. It is just fitting that it all happened on April 20th--a special day for us! The weather is incredible, my truck said it was 81!!! Sweet!!! Kaity's thermometer read 101.2....NOT so sweet! She was such a trooper during our errands, but was slowly fading away and when I felt her forehead at lunch I was like...great! Where did she pick this up? She was totally fine yesterday!

Getting our fingerprints taken DIGITALLY...NO INK!! YAY!

Kaity waited patiently while we signed the forms.

Our paperwork is really an update since we are going through the same agency as before and I've had our family profile done for quite a while (the digital book). These are all the items that they reviewed and took from us today...now we wait for the next step. =)

Kaity blew two "wishes"...one for a brother and one for a sister before we walked in. She got to give them the book.

Now we wait until paperwork is reviewed and we are contacted for the next step!

Yesterday was really the first bright sunny day so Kaity and I ran down the hill to see if there were any daffodils left in the fields! There was one field left uncut! YAY! Last year was the first time we didn't get any pics because the weather was cold, cloudy and rainy during the whole season so I did NOT want to miss out again! I took a TON, but here are a few that I really liked...

Hope you had a great Easter!

We had a pretty quiet Easter. It was raining and very cold!! We got ready and went to church, then came home to a surprise from the Easter Bunny and colored our eggs. Kaity spent the afternoon playing with her toys after all that and kept saying, "It was so nice of the Easter Bunny to bring me presents! I made a wish that the Easter Bunny will bring me MORE presents!" LOL =)
